Serial Port 2 Mode
Use this feature to con gure Serial Port 2 mode. The options are Normal, IrDA and
ASK IR. IrDA (Infrared Data) is an industry standard for remote control devices. ASK
IR (Amplitude Shifted Keying Infrared) is a protocol compatible with Sharp® branded
PDAs and other infrared devices.
Remote Access Con guration
COM0/COM1/SOL Console Redirection
Use this feature to enable console redirection for COM0 and COM1 ports. The op-
tions are Enabled and Disabled. The default for all ports are Disabled.
Console Redirection Settings
Con gure the following options for the Console Redirection Settings. The
most common settings are set as default:
Terminal Type : Select ANSI, VT100, VT100+, or VT-UTF8
Bits per Second (BPS): 9600, 19200, 57600, or 115200
Data Bits: 8 or 7
Parity: None, Even, Odd, Mark, or Space
Stop Bits: 1 or 2
Flow Control: None or Hardware RTS/CTS
Recorder Mode: Disabled or Enabled
Resolution 100x31: Disabled or Enabled
Legacy OS Redirection Resolution: 80x24 or 80x25
Serial Port for Out-of-Band Management / Windows Emergency
Management Services (EMS)
Use this feature to enable console redirection. The options are Enabled and Dis-
abled. The default is Disabled.
Console Redirection Settings
Con gure the following options for the Console Redirection Settings. The
most common settings are set as default:
Out-of-Band Mgmt Port: COM1, COM2, SOL, COM4
Terminal Type : Select ANSI, VT100, VT100+, or VT-UTF8
Bits per Second (BPS): 9600, 19200, 57600, or 115200
Data Bits: 8 or 7
